With your purchase from Jennifer Westbrook, The Wordie Shop at JenWestWriting Editing & Marketing Services, or jenwestwriting.com ("The Company"), you acknowledge that you read, understand, and agree to the Terms and Conditions stated here and in any applicable Wordie Shop item descriptions.

Payments

​

Due to the nature of the work The Company performs, all payments are non-refundable and non-transferable. The only exception is for projects we decline because they are not aligned with our beliefs or business policies.

​

Hours of Operation

​

Our business hours are Monday-Friday from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Eastern. Our office is closed on weekends and all National and Federal holidays. Any messages or inquiries received on weekends or holidays will be returned on the next business day. We will also be closed from December 16, 2024 – January 6, 2025, and will reopen on January 7, 2025.

Project Acceptance, Processing and Delivery

​

Once you make your purchase, the start date of your project is the next full business day after you complete your Project Questionnaire. If your project does not require a Questionnaire, the start date is the next full business day after you make your purchase.

​

If you make your purchase or submit your Project Questionnaire on the weekend or a holiday, your start date is the next business day. Projects will be delivered to you within the timeline stated on the purchase page. Project deliveries occur by 5:00 p.m. Eastern on the delivery date. Delivery days are Monday-Friday only.

The Wordie Shop process is designed to be simple so you can get your deliverables quickly, implement right away, and start seeing results in your business. We want to do our best work for you, which means we need to limit the time spent responding to emails and unscheduled calls. Therefore, please do not call or send messages inquiring about the status of your project before the delivery date. Trust that we’re working diligently to create something awesome for you, and if we have any questions while we’re working, we’ll contact you.

We reserve the right to terminate or decline any project that does not align with our beliefs or business policies. If we terminate or decline to accept your project after you’ve made a purchase, we’ll issue a full refund to your original form of payment.

Revisions, Rewrites and Edits

​

We do not make revisions, rewrites or edits to Wordie Shop projects. We’re confident that the detailed information you provide in your Project Questionnaire enables us to create stellar copy that meets your expressed needs.

​

You’re free to make edits and revisions on your own if you wish. But please be advised that if you revise our work extensively, your changes could negatively impact the effectiveness of the copy.

​

By purchasing this pre-paid service, you’re agreeing to accept our deliverable(s) without requesting revisions, rewrites or edits. However, if you have a concern with your project, please contact us and we’ll discuss it with you.

​

If you prefer to hire us for a more extensive project that allows for revisions and edits, please contact us so we can design a custom project for you.

Copyright & Ownership of Deliverables

​

Once The Company receives your payment and completes your project, your deliverables belong to you, and The Company assigns all copyrights to you.

Limitation of Liability

​

In no event will The Company be liable for any special, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages nor loss of data, profits or revenue, cost of capital, or downtime costs, nor for any exemplary or punitive damages, arising from any claim or action, incidental or collateral to, or directly or indirectly related to or in any way connected with your purchase or project.

Independent Contractor

​

Your purchase does not create an employer and employee relationship, a master and servant relationship, or a principal and agent relationship between you and The Company. Your purchase acknowledges that you agree that The Company is, and at all times during your project shall remain, an independent contractor.
